Kappa League is an organization dedicated to helping young men of middle and high school age to grow and develop their leadership talents in every field of human endeavor. Kappa Leaguers participate in programs that stimulate leadership characteristics, develop organizational skills, and create an environment of achievement.

The Rock Hill Kappa Leadership Instructional League (Kappa League) is an organization dedicated to helping young men of high school age to grow and develop their leadership talents in every field of human endeavor. Kappa Leaguers participate in programs that stimulate leadership characteristics, develop organizational skills, and create an environment of achievement.

Kappa League is an organization dedicated to helping Lancaster, York, and Chester County in South Carolina as well as Mecklenburg county in North Carolina Area young men of middle and high school age to grow and develop their leadership talents in every phase of human endeavor.

Through club-oriented activities, the Kappa League performs projects that will expose young men to planning, execution, reporting ideas, and simulating good leadership characteristics designed to raise their aspirations levels. All activities and programs are modeled around the following five phases:

  • Self Identity
  • Training
  • Competition
  • Social/Community Service
  • Health Education

Since the fundamental purpose of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. is an achievement, the Fraternity’s primary purpose is to assist the young men of Kappa League in achieving worthy goals to make constructive contributions to their communities when they become leaders.

We want to share this opportunity of a lifetime with minority young men in our community currently in grades 8-10. The Rock Hill Kappa Instructional Leadership League (Kappa League) accepts applications for membership for the subsequent school year from April 1 through June 1 annually.

On behalf of the Rock Hill Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. and the Kappa League of Rock Hill, we would like to share this opportunity of a lifetime with minority young men in our community currently in grades 8 and 9.

The Rock Hill Kappa Instructional Leadership League (Kappa League) accepts applications for membership for the subsequent school year from April 1 through June 1 annually. Kappa League is an organization dedicated to helping Rock Hill, Chester, York, Fort Mill, and Charlotte Metropolitan Area young men of high school age to grow and develop their leadership talents in every phase of human endeavor.

Please be advised that while Kappa League is an entity sponsored by Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc., its participants are neither considered nor affiliated as members of the fraternity

The Kappa League of Rock Hill requires all prospective members to participate in an application procedure prior to consideration for membership. Also, the requirements for joining the Kappa League of Rock Hill shall be fulfilled before acceptance. These requirements are as follows:

  • Minimum Cumulative Grade Point average of 2.0 on a 4.0-grade scale at the time of application submission.
  • High School Enrollment (must be entering the 9th or 10th grade in the fall semester of the upcoming school year. Applicant must complete two-year program participation to obtain the organization's and applicant's mutual goals.
  • A Letter of interest from the applicant (one full page – typed and double-spaced)
  • Two letters of recommendation – One from a teacher or counselor and one from a community leader – coach, employer, volunteer supervisor, mentor, pastor, etc.
  • A picture of yourself.

After all, documents have been submitted and requirements have been met, the candidate’s information will be reviewed by the Rock Hill Kappa League Executive Board and the Fraternity’s Kappa League Advisory Board. Interviews will be scheduled thereafter.

Applications, letters of interest, and letters of recommendation shall be postmarked by June 1st of the year of the upcoming fall interest period whereby the applicant is entering the 9th or 10th grade.
